After a bit of digging in the code of SetAllX, it does allow me to use the method instead of property (the () after the method name does it). I then implemented the suggestion by Naomi using the Form as a gobetween my called and calling method.

Though I would have loved to use a particular class instead of generic base class in SetAllX but as no errors are raised in non-targeted classes, so that is okay.
