That is something we do as well, although what I typically do is buy a full box of Spring bottled water bottles and then wash and refill those bottles from home as they are used. It is a pain to keep washing and drying them, but worth the savings and the convenience of having bottles to carry water around in. They fit great inside of small coolers (for driving and walking around etc). We do this for 3-4 months and then buy a new box of them. When traveling overseas though, I ONLY drink bottled water that I myself break the seal on. :o) I had well water for the past 16 years until June. Now I am on city water for the first time and I can't stand it. It tastes and smells like bleach to me. It has no minerals left in it. There is probably nothing left in it but chlorine and liquid (no minerals). I have a 3 stage filter at home for my city water. Wish I had reverse osmosis! I had a great water filtration system at my old house but I'm not buying another 6000.00 system again.

I get a kick out of Biota. As teens we went four-wheeling above Ouray on weekends (lucky we survived) and drank out of the mountain streams up there. Now they package and sell it:

Interesting to note the 5 authorized bottled water types:

TYPES OF BOTTLED WATER
The FDA recognizes these five:

1. Artesian: From a confined aquifer, a body of underground water that is concealed by a layer of sand or rock.

2. Mineral: Contains at least 250 parts per million total dissolved solids such as iron, potassium, magnesium, manganese, silica, chromium, lithium and copper. No minerals may be added to the water.

3. Purified: Produced by distillation, deionization, reverse osmosis or other suitable processes.

4. Sparkling: Water that contains the same amount of carbon dioxide that it had when it emerged from its source after treatment and possible replacement of carbon dioxide.

5. Spring: Derived from an underground source from which water flows naturally to the surface. May be collected at spring or through a borehole tapping the underground formation feeding the spring.

>You never go anywhere where it's handy to have bottled? We take plastic bottles to the ballgame to avoid paying $3.50 a piece. And of course, when we travel, especially outside the US, we drink lots of bottled water.

>Yep, and food, too. We rarely buy from the concessions.

>There was a huge fuss here before the Linc opened when the Eagles announced their plans to prohibit outside food. Philadelphians simply wouldn't put up with that idea. So both new ballparks allow you to bring in food and drink, though of course, glass and cans are prohibited, as is alcohol. (The latter, of course, is incredibly hypocritical, since they sell beer, and don't put any real limits on it.)
