The theory put forth in the book that came out about him last year is that he became unhinged when Mark McGwire broke the single season home run record, overshadowing Bonds. That's when he supposedly started juicing.
I just wish ONE of these guys (other than Jose Canseco) would say Yeah, I did it, and I'm sorry. It couldn't make their reputations any worse than they already are -- actually I think it would improve them -- and might be a good message for young athletes to hear.
