Use Cathy's other suggestion in setting the resource table (foxuser.dbf and foxuser.fpt usually) to readonly. Don't set the resource off, just make sure that you bundle the readonly resource files with your app. You can also set individual records in the resource table to Readonly... see the field foxuser.readonly. This is what I used to do with the VFP 8 and earlier version of the report preview in order to make the report come up maximized and have the toolbar docked to the top left of the window so I know it works.
