But that would not solve the fact that a VFP tables cannot have more than 255 fields. How does you suggestion get around that?

>vfp uses cdx ineex files and idx index files and I am almost sure clipper use .ndx index files ,in this case is better to convert to a dbf file without index and then create and index in vfp.
