>Can anyone verify what I've just been told: It will cost an end user about $300 just to be able to run CR reports. No report editor included, if they want that capability, it's about $500? I'm having trouble swallowing these figures, is Uncle Sam being taken to the cleaners? :)
What??? Someone charge Uncle Sam too much for something??? I just can't believ it! <g>
If the enduser needs to create reports, a full install of CR is needed. If the reports are canned, then you should use the CR Automation Server instead of the ActiveX control. I've been told by Seagate Software that the ActiveX control will go away, possibly as soon as the next release. With canned reports you can distribute royalty free.
