One of the things that I learned over the years - probably because I never got married and had lots of time - is that if I was interested in something, I tried it. If I liked it, I would do more of it. Sounds simple, and it is in theory, but it's a matter of acting. Doing something. Trying something new. It's way to easy to get bogged-down in the details of living to sometimes enjoy life. I love knowing how to do things, fix things, create art, make a new tiled floor for the foyer, understand chess, play piano and guitar, be the "computer guy" for the entire (and I do mean entire) family, I can play volleyball, tennis, and golf fairly well, though my poor legs preclude me from doing the first two very effectively. I've hitchhiked across the US, watched pelicans fly inches above the waves at Bodega Bay, CA, sold books in Tuscan, AZ. I worked as a camp counseler, and then at a resedence, for the mentally handicapped. I've lived in the most rural of areas and also NYC. I've dated some of the most beautiful girls, and others that could scare the devil, both in looks and personality. I would never have experienced any of those things if I hadn't simply decided to act. It's never too late, Nadya. Whatever it may be, do it.
