Not sure what you mean when you said "If you still get an Alias not found, look in the cdx tags. Don't use aliases in the cdx tags"
I have a feeling it's the CDX tags that are causing the problem.
What do you mean by "Not using an alias in the index tags"? I always use the index name as is described in the Table Designer.
