Thanks for sharing your expiriences. My personal list of favorites had been

Outpost from Agnitum (full license of version 3.0 in c't end of 2006 - top technical journal here)
Ghostwall (quite new, tiny footprint)
Kerio / Sunbelt (top contender a few years back)

and for language reasons mostly - will be installed on 2 dozen high school machines -

Ashampoo
PC Tools Firewall 2.0

Comodo looks VERY impressive in the test links provided and will be checked first -
while the tools I had in mind were not bad, I would have missed what most of you and the test
seem to put into first place now.

The test links also made arguing for a non-german version easy - h"<"backspace">"well, they can improve their english that way <g>

Update - Comodo has a long list of supported languages included - german language support will add 1.6 MB. Sounds even better now.
