You are absolutely correct. At this point it's more for safe searching more than monitoring. I bought this http://www.internetsafety.com/safe-eyes/ and it works very well, with some tweaking. She is a very good, self-monitoring kid, with a great set of values, but we need to make sure it remains that way. Last week she was doing a search for "beautycuties" which is some sort of doll, but it came back with a bunch of "other" stuff. Still got a couple things to configure to ensure it's as safe as it could be, but it's looking pretty good now. They let you install onto 3 computers for 1 license, so that's pretty cool too. Their customer service was excellent too, though I had to wait a while on hold first.
