Are you forgetting Oliver North and the Tower Commission? Personally, I always felt that Reagan was fully aware of the situation and a 'blind eye was turned to it.' However, given that his altzeimers was probably already showing effects (and staffers were hiding it) he probably really didn't recall with any accuracy when he testified.
