Like I said, it's not that he started a war all by himself, it was mostly Madeleine's doing (war room. she locks the door and tells the generals: now gentlemen, shall we make love or war?), and it was him letting her do it while he was under pressure. At the time, we had a prediction: "if they catch this guy with his fly open once more, we're next". And so we were.
