I am trying to use Adobe Reader ActiveX control (ACROPDF.DLL) on a VFP form.

I have added the Adobe Reader ActiveX control by dragging it onto the form at design time. It appears inside an OleControl. I then set the Enable property .T. and the VISIBLE property .F.

In the Init event for the form, I call LoadFile() method of the control to give it the full pathname of a PDF file, and then set the Visible property of the control to .T., and refresh the form. (Incidentally, the LoadFile() call returns .F.)

At that point I get OLE errors apparently during the Paint method of the form. And the Reader never appears.

As a test, I have used the ActiveX Test container in VS2005, inserted that same control, invoked the LoadFile() method with that same PDF file, and it displays just fine.

What am I doing wrong?
