I've used DBFtrieve on a couple of projects and it does work as advertised. Performance is decent and the programming interface
is not bad either. The only thing is that you definitely need to
know the structures of the Btrieve files as you can't simply BROWSE
to find out what they are.
It's kind of foggy in my mind, but it seems that there was a caveat
regarding a file that Btrieve uses to store the actual file structure
definition. I believe that this file is required (any many Btrieve
implementations don't have it), but I'm not 100% on this.
