SchoolHouse Rock is a series of animated shorts, set to music that were stuck in between Saturday morning cartoon shows starting back in the 70's. They're available on DVD now.

The whole thing was done based on the premise that children could remember songs better than straight facts. Plus, the songs themselves are kinda 'earwormy' and stick with you.
