>Is it possible to get a reference to Browser's File Download (SaveAS) dialog and process it programmatically: Providing file name and location?

Christoph is probably correct for current versions of IE and Firefox - I haven't worked that angle for a long time.
But back in the times of IE3 and IE4 that backdoor was not really shut down - I hacked successfully around in area.
Not a watertight solution for shrink-wrapped SW, but stable enough to base a long running internal project on that approach.

So if it is only for a personal project, getting an old clunker and installing IE4 (probably IE5.0 is alo possible) might fix your immediate problem. Perhaps the door is in current IE still not totally shut down, but programming on such assumption might be risky if you use windows update <bg>.

But there probably are a some other ways to get what you want, from spidering to manipulating the COM interfaces - but you must describe your needs in more detail.
