Keep in mind that multiple users will be using the application on the server. Normally most apps are installed for use by a single user (on a pc at a time). So if you have a remote database, you need to give each person their own instance of the application and support files (mainly the dbc). You also need to try and separate working directories so each person has their own workspace.

I would use a launcher and create separate working areas for each user.

You also may want to look at throttling the memory used by your application and ensure that the server has a LOT of RAM.
