>There was a time when no one would be caught in white socks in America. :o) You didn't need any police to enforce it. Any teen would point it out and make a fuss for them! :o) I can't recall when it was, late 60s or early 70s?

I can recall that late 70ies and early 80 were horror aestetics wise all together. Will skip that fashions (again) when they come back :o)

We had back then division on 'rockers' wearing jeans/leather and those other (red noveau-rich) who wore always expensive stuff from Italy;
like La Cost, Gucci, Armani etc.

Amongst those, you would see from time to time white (sporty) socks within shallow black or blue summer shoes. That was laughing stock back then.

Every time has its fashion horrors I guess, my problem is that nowdays
I can't really distinguish between kids/teens;
They all look ridiculous to me <vbg>

>>>I dont see how it would never work. ever, ever, ever.
>>>Sure, I think its ridicilious when I see a guy walking around with his underware hanging out and his jeans around his knees...but then again I dont think the government should be making laws about how people dress either, plus this is a law that is obviously aimed at black folks. With all the stuff going on these days you'd think you'd want to keep the police busy on something else.
>>>I'd be interested to hear what others think about it. Personally I don't think we need the pigs harrasing guys based on how they dress. Just because someone has such poor social skills they dress like a fool ya shouldn't make it a criminal act. Is this somehow offensive? ooooh I see yer boxer shorts! I'm calling 911! eeek! eeek! gawwwd get over it! "....The proposed ordinance would also bar women from showing the strap of a thong beneath their pants. They would also be prohibited from wearing jogging bras in public or show a bra strap...." - yeaaah riiiiight. Hey you put that law into effect out here in Ft. Lauderdale and 70% of the girls on my beach will be getting tickets. Stoooooopid.
>>>Hopefully the American Civil Liberties Union can help put a stop to this.
