Or the Canary islands? Got me. I am not aware that there is any requirement for every place on earth to be in/on a continent. I'm not really sure what the exact requirements are for a body of land to be considered a continent, but I imagine it probably revolves around something like being a large land mass surrounded mostly by water. I think Australia is considered about the lower end of the size that allows it to be included in the list.
Anyway, I'm just spouting the general consensus. I think if you check, you'll find most atlases name the 7 above.
