I am now working with the Memphis Police Department as a consultant, with my primary function being to assist in the design and implementation of the Real Time Crime Center. It is modeled on the one NYPD has installed, but hopefully, it will be better. A couple of things our state has yet to implement are a statewide warrants database, and a statewide jail database. I plan to create such a beast as a part of the RTCC.

Now comes the question. I am thinking the best way to let other agencies push their data up to us is via xml. I was wondering if anyone else had done this, and if so what they learned along the way. Anyone care to share their story?
