Hi,

AFAIK Excel won't pop up extra windows when instanciated via code. What I've ment is if you start Excel by hand, do you get any screens (activation, ...)? This was causing my problem.

VSTO = Visual Studio Tools for Office and they are mainly used for writing add-in for Office - don't know if you intend to do so.

>Can't believe so, because calling Excel interactively does not show any strange thing. Otherwise this have to be a special thing that only appears in the automation server mode - hope it is not doing things like this (because I would never be able to see them).

>What is VSTO? The Office Installation is perfect and to make sure I already deinstalled it once and installed it newly.
