Ok, I solved it even without trying Pertti's suggestion. I tried to comment out the code and the question was not asked, so finally I figured it was some problem with spaces.

So now I have this.tag = alltrim(this.value)

and added a check of this.tag <>alltrim(this.value) and it worked fine.

Now I just have to go and update code in all 20 or more texboxes I have on that form :)
