>I'm modifying an existing VFP program. The programmers have an ON ERROR routine set up. At the point I'm making the mods, I want to set up my own error handler. So I just set it up to ON ERROR QUIT at the moment - mainly for testing, not the long term. However that does not work. If I check the return value of ON("ERROR") after my ON ERROR QUIT statement, the original on error setting is unchanged. I'm not sure I've run into this before. What would cause the on error setting to remain unchanged?

Could it be that it changed again in some program which is called from yours or it's coded in a timer?
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
