A big part of determining whether you get the job or not is determined by how good you REALLy are and how hard you've looked for a job.

I've been in the engineering market since 1968. I didn't get an associate's degree until 1994. Guess what? I got the last couple of jobs because the degree was a prerequisite. On the other hand, I'm now making what I made in 1984, 40 percent less than my peak years.

I got into an outfit like EDS in 1982 without any degree cause they needed someone with my experience, yet they never hire anyone without a degree and at least a 3.5 gpa.

I saw an interesting survey about 3 years back. The gist of it was that 2 year grads made less than high school grads. I can testify to that. I made more BEFORE my degree. To paraphrase someone, "It's all a matter of luck. The harder I work, the luckier I get."

Good luck to you.
