When I was stationed at Fort Lewis, WA a group of us did the same thing. We went to the races and only took 20.00 each. We all stayed until either the races were over or everyone lost their 20.00. Typically, it was the latter... :o) I must admit though, it was a lot of fun. I didn't care so much for betting, but the races were fun. I enjoyed rodeos as a kid though too (living in Colorado).
