>>>Well yes, but, I was thinking more along the lines of if I type "IF" then press the enter key, the indenting starts right away. Using syntax expansion, the default behavior is, I type "IFEND" then enter, the code is completed with an "ENDIF" on the next line with the cursor waiting to finish the if condition. Upon doing so, pressing enter does not indent the next line.

>>This all is such nonsense. Code expansion irritates me, for example when I type SET EXACT OFF it appears to have become SET EXACT OFF OFF. Arggh. I'm not stupid, I know my language and I don't mind to press IF blabla[Enter][Tab].

>You know what Peter? I used to respect you before reading this insulting response. You call me lazy and my post nonsense. Maybe to you but tell the companies that make code editors that have code expansion built in that their products are a waste of time.

In your twit filter? Wow. Well, in that case it would be nonsense to reply and explain, right? Because you can't even read that reply.

You know what Mike? Oh sorry, you're not reading it. You know what, others who do read this? I might now feel insulted by Mike, but I feel not. Because, AFAIK, it was not Mike's intention to insult me. He's simply upset, not because I wrote an insulting reply, but because he misinterpreted it as an insulting reply. He didn't get the real intention: A little provocation, in order to see whether there is some ground here for a discussion of the usefulness of certain editor options.
