OK, let's consider this conspiracy theory: his case is brought up in a real witch hunt style, with two main goals. First is to divert the attention of public from Gonzales. One day was enough, next day we must have something else. The other is to ostensibly let another of their soldiers down the drain, only to later show that the whole accusation is made on flimsy grounds - and hence cast the shadow of doubt over all the other accusations (and indictments), and start yelling about a witch hunt. Election day draweth near...
