We are looking at moving to a standard workstation configuration (XP) that does NOT use MSOffice (nor Outlook). However, some of our apps use the MS Treeview and Imagelist control (MSCOMCTL.OCX) which typically is installed w/ Office or Outlook. I have been on the MSFT site trying to determine if there are any licensing issues when distributing this OCX on those "standard" workstations. Anyone familiar w/ licensing of this control? I found the following (in italics below) which mentions activex distribution generically. And i cannot tell if MSCOMCTL.OCX ships w/ MDAC 2.8, which another page states "This download is available to customers running genuine Microsoft Windows."

ActiveX controls (.ocx files) are installed by default when you install Visual FoxPro. You can distribute ActiveX controls with your applications. ActiveX controls are added to a form in an application by using the Visual FoxPro OLE container control.
