>We create our own menu from a table of program names(Forms) using VFP commands. On the top level menu we have an option called DATA FILES and off this menu we have a sub menu with 5 options the first one is ACCOUNTS DATA FILES which has 42 options including separator lines. When choosing one of the options from this menu and the form that is activated is a modal form we notice that when the form is closed the last two options always disappear from the menu. This only happens if it's a modal form. Switching the last two options around makes not difference so the problem is not linked to specific options. This ONLY happens if there are more than 40 options on the menu.

I think the main reason nobody answered yet is that nobody has run into this problem.

Why? Because nobody puts 40 items in a menu. I, for one, hate it when there are more than about 15 items listed - it's hard to navigate, and with the nasty habit of Windows menus to vanish no matter where you click, annoying.

I think you may use another way to navigate between your forms. A treeview, maybe, or some other GUI. Menus... have their limitations.
