The question which nags me is what the substitution for my beloved Foxpro is? I do not see any tool that has that ability to handle data. Delhi died, long live C++. Fox dies, long live what???
Basic? Access?
Doh!

>I think by the end of 2008 to 2009 will put it in the final throes, so to speak. Any corporate jobs will be small short-time maintenance gigs. Any third-party developer of off-the-shelf apps will probably have changed tool sets by then. And any developers who focus on the small bus. apps will have to face telling their clients that if VFP is used to create the app, finding other programmers to support the app will be difficult.

>>I think VFP will be a viable tool until the 2010-2012 time frame. The next major revision of Windows will kill it. It will still run, Microsoft has promised that, but it won't look like a modern development tool.
A moment of silence is our cosmic reset button.
