Our DBA is paranoid about security. He wants to remove any & all shares from the Server & is insisting I move all the application supporting files & Data files into the Database or store it on the server & access it through SQL Server 2005 somehow, without there being a file share on the Server.

Is it possible to access following files on Server without creating a file share:-
1) Data in the form of RTF, JPG Files
2) FRX/FRT report formats
