I read a blog on the web that says that only some CD drives can read the subchannel data. In fact, my notebook CD drive won't read it. That is, the CD-G will play but the lyrics will not appear. I admit I tried it with just one software designed to play CD-G and show the lyrics.
>I thought all drives could read the subchannel data, but none of the software used it. In other words I thought if you have the right software it would. I think that because you can copy a kareoke CD on your PC and then play the copy in a kareoke player.

>>In order to play CD-G CD (Karaoke) you need to have a CD drive that can read "subchannel" data. Has anybody bought an external (USB-type) CD drive that has this feature? If you do, pleas let me know the make and model.

>>Thank you.
