Yes, pragmatically it may be easier.
The purpose of exercise to port existing Foxpro application to C#/SQL Server 2005 and eventually eliminate in-house data munging Foxpro code. It is not practical either to rewrite existing Fox code or create new Fox code right now. Additional plus of C#/ADO.Net approach is that not only Foxpro tables may be converted but other databases as well.
