There have been plenty of examples in the news of their people who have suffered terribly under these evil regimes. And you one stock anawer is to turn these places to glass. You're like a freakin' Dalek: "EXTERMINATE!". So every country that displeases the mighty US gets a bomb dropped on it? Soon there'll be no countries left.

Plus Australia is near that hotbed of Islamic terrorism (Indonesia) which would also be in line for a good Goffing (my new word for destroying a country because you don't agree with a couple of the people in it)

Aye, I hadn't forGoffen.

I was thinking of "on the Beach" when I wrote that. I was hoping that Shute's knowledge of cross-equatorial wind currents and diffusion was faulty.

Hmmm, Indonnesia too eh? (wasn't a problem in Shute's day). Is nowhere safe from being raised to several miilion degrees Kevin?
