It plays great on the laptop or PC, but nothing on a DVD player. which is pretty much what I expected. I found a converter, WinMPG, which will convert it from AVI to other formats, but do I need a DVD burner too? Thanks!

>>>A lot of that will depend upon the dvd player you have. Some of them will play mpeg2 or mpeg4 files. Depending upon how you re-encode the file you can actually get the thing to fit on a CD and it will play in a DVD player (VCD files are great for that).
>>>These guys have something called gxtranscoder which is freeware and converts to all kinds of formats...

Well now, that link says it is, but if I go to the first link, it says it is only a trial.
