I didn't take the time yet to analyze the new report features in VFP 9, but with Excel Automation, it is
quite simple to have a variable number of columns. For example, a variable number of weeks or months, etc.

9991 (text-mode and Excel reports), if each record in the table is supposed to go in a separate line, I use the .PrintLine() method; but in several reports, I only go to the next column (using .Print() method, instead of .PrintLine()); the .PrintLine() would be called in the .GroupHeader() method, that is, when a group expression changes.
