The path is typical of media and public perception. Recall the game of a circle of kids with a sentence started with one and it is whispered all the way around the circle until it gets back to the beginning? It is never the same as the original message. It happens often with news of America as well. No wonder everyone has a skewed view on all sides.

>Judge by yourself if this is or not creation of political propaganda rather then news making;
>
>First you have *ofensive* interviever walking all over PR wise naive Ahmadinejad;
>
>Q: You have said that you want Israel off the map. You really cannot accept the existence of Israel?
>
>A: We do not accept or officially recognise Israel. They are occupiers and illegitimate. But our approach is humanitarian. I ask you where is the Soviet Union now - has it been wiped out or not? It has been wiped out without a war. Let the Palestinian people chose.
>It will happen.
>
>Q: But you speak with more determination. The collapse of Soviet Union was a surprise - you're saying you want Israel off the map now.
>
>A: Because we analyse the problems of the region meticulously. We do not deceive ourselves. We say a regime that does not have a proper philosophy of existence, which is an occupier which bullies people, and which is without culture and civilisation and which has all the powers of the region against it - this cannot survive.

>What he said was basically in first sentence;
>'We do not accept or officially recognise Israel'
>and then some casual blah blah (Iran official mantra) to support it.
>
>CNN journalist interpreted it as
>... But Mahmoud Ahmadinejad took a hard line against Israel, calling it "an invader" and saying it "cannot continue its life."
>
>After reading CNN article You were inclined to create thread here with title
>'Iran Leader Wants Peace For All But Death to Israel'
>
>What is in bold is exactly inflamatory message/propaganda CNN was trying to transmit/communicate to the rest of the world. If you analyse carefully the rest of this interview (nukes etc) , you would probably find some more of these litle 'transmitions' which (together with meny meny other articles and PR efforts) eventually have to result in some future world aproval of intervention on Iran.

>That is exactly why 'Discovery Travel' is my favourite news channel :))
