A discussion I really don't want to have. Do we really need to discuss the history of the Jewish people and Eretz Israel or how Jordan came to be or Palestine or the Ottoman Empire or Babylonia or jeesh, let's just make it Canaan again. In most times, land and people were claimed by war (unless the people left of their own accord). How about we just give the Jewish people the state of Maine? Or kick everyone out of the U.S. and give it back to the Indians (those indians and their descendents still left around anyway which means I can stay because my Great-Gread Grandmother was relocated to a reservation but you have to leave). Too bad for everyone living there now. At that time, there was no reason to create their own country - they could have successfully integrated into any nation as they had done everywhere. How many came to the U.S.? I thought modern history would stop such nonsense. I'm sorry, but I have always seen it that way - even in school. Give the Ojibwas back their land and I'll move on it :o) Or do we go back to the Sioux and the Foxes and kick the Objibwas out since we can go round and round with which indian nation owned what land and when (they were fighting each other and taking each other's land just as European' did).
