This translation I posted was actually taken from direct translation by
official translator on that video. I watched video little bit and
read in the same time. So perhaps even this transcript is as good as
real time translation skills of interpreter.

Don't get me wong; I have no illusions about Iran not so ever
but this was simply typical media manipulation that CNN (&Co) are mastering
for a long time now.
As Dragan said, we experienced it very well on our own back during Balkan wars of nineties.

There4, long live my remote control (batteries) :))

>Ok, I really don't know which (if any) are accurate translations. I do have some friends who speak Farsi though, and I will ask them at the first opportunity.

>As to Iran (and her leaders) in general, I think he is more political savvy then the general public think. He is a wily old one (as some would say). What concerns me is that I find it difficult to believe that the political powers in that country have changed their position when we know for a fact they want the extermination of Israel (or did not long ago). I never supported the forced relocation of anyone nor the right to Israelis to have their own country by taking the land from others. However, they have a right to existence and human rights as all do. They are there now and international communities supported that. What is necessary now is recognition and land and a home for Palestine. Back to Iran, since he is not really in control in that country, I cannot trust that his views or what he states accurately represents those in control (or even his views). I think those in control have gotten much smarter and are playing a better game now. He answers questions with questions
> so he cannot be pinned down when prior statements of his have been very precise. He does indeed insinuate (if the translation is accurate though) that he wants Israel destroyed lock stock and barrel. He does not however, use the term used in CNN's report that I can see. I think he is trying to straddle to sides - please those at home yet not say anything threatening and appear as though Iran only wants peace and human rights for all. Well, they could start at home.
>
>There are some statements he makes which I agree with completely:
>
>
>the holocaust did happen where did it take place? What role did the Palestinian people play? The Palestinians were innocent. Why should they be punished, why should their land be occupied, why should they be killed and why should they be turned in to wanderers? These are my two questions

>However, I have to take it out of context to match what I believe :o)

>>Here is one transcript in english

>>
>>Judge by yourself if this is or not creation of political propaganda rather then news making;
>>
>>First you have *ofensive* interviever walking all over PR wise naive Ahmadinejad;
>>
>>Q: You have said that you want Israel off the map. You really cannot accept the existence of Israel?
>>
>>A: We do not accept or officially recognise Israel. They are occupiers and illegitimate. But our approach is humanitarian. I ask you where is the Soviet Union now - has it been wiped out or not? It has been wiped out without a war. Let the Palestinian people chose.
>>It will happen.
>>
>>Q: But you speak with more determination. The collapse of Soviet Union was a surprise - you're saying you want Israel off the map now.
>>
>>A: Because we analyse the problems of the region meticulously. We do not deceive ourselves. We say a regime that does not have a proper philosophy of existence, which is an occupier which bullies people, and which is without culture and civilisation and which has all the powers of the region against it - this cannot survive.
>>
>>

>>
>>What he said was basically in first sentence;
>>'We do not accept or officially recognise Israel'
>>and then some casual blah blah (Iran official mantra) to support it.
>>
>>CNN journalist interpreted it as
>>... But Mahmoud Ahmadinejad took a hard line against Israel, calling it "an invader" and saying it "cannot continue its life."
>>
>>After reading CNN article You were inclined to create thread here with title
>>'Iran Leader Wants Peace For All But Death to Israel'
>>
>>What is in bold is exactly inflamatory message/propaganda CNN was trying to transmit/communicate to the rest of the world. If you analyse carefully the rest of this interview (nukes etc) , you would probably find some more of these litle 'transmitions' which (together with meny meny other articles and PR efforts) eventually have to result in some future world aproval of intervention on Iran.
>>
>>That is exactly why 'Discovery Travel' is my favourite news channel :))
