>>>I liked the way they did cliffhangers on Alias. They even had them before each commercial <s> Lost is pretty good as well. I kind of like Heroes. Have already bloviated on the problems I have with 24. Prison Break just seemed so silly in the first couple episodes I watched I couldn't stay with it.

>>Lost. now that I can't get it I can do without cos I could see it going on and on and on with no "closure" at any time. They've just got to give us SOME resolution every so often or we explode with curiosity.
>>
>>Alias was good but a different story each week (or should I say different adventure) but the thread that went through it was intriguing. Trouble is they put it on too late here, and the 2nd series came without any fanfare so you sort of stumbled on it when flicking channels, so I lost the background plot. That's the trouble if you miss the odd crucial episode, that's what I mean about these long series.
>>Bloviated? Qu'est que c'est que ca?

>Bloviate was a verb I believe originally coined by H L Mencken to describe a politician-like going on and on about a topic with great posturing and certitude, mostly the result of being hypnotized by the sound of one's own voice <g> I think he originally applied it to Warren G. Harding but there has certainly been ample opportunity to use it since.

>Do you have Netflix there?

I don't hink we can

>Alias is worth getting the whole series and following it from the beginning ( especially without the commercials ) That is, of course, after one has watched all seven seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer ( I'm really not kidding about this one - it is epic and brilliant but to really get into the spirit of it it helps to follow the story from the beginning )

I watched them all and loved them. Was it really 10 years ago it started!!!?

You just reminded me to look-up Dawn, Michelle Trachtenberg. I used to think she was the cutest thing ever and was interested to see how she'd turn out. And wow! now at 21 what a beauty! I haven't seen anything of her since then.

>I am currently Netflixing my way through Hustle

The grifter with Robert Vaughan? It's worth watching just for the babe who I think is one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen. I missed all the last series as I was watching summat on the other side - Prison Break I think. As explained earlier how I wish I hadn't! :-)

>and Dr. Who ( the modern version )

I can't get into that and have no interest. With the whole universe and all time to explore, why do they seem to nearly always in modern-day London or cardiff (fGS!). The storylines I can't follow and the resolutions are just so nebulous.

There's a spin-off series to this: "Torchwood" - very ADULT too:

- Whoever said that women are the weaker sex never tried to wrest the bedclothes off one in the middle of the night
- Worry is the interest you pay, in advance, for a loan that you may never need to take out.
