>fwiw - we bought AVG Professional edition for 5 servers about a year ago. About 2 months ago, after AVG did its auto-update for virus sigs, it incorrectly identified a dll in our Mail Server system as a virus and DOS'd the mail server when it removed the dll from service. Now yesterday, again after an auto-virus sig data update, it DOS'd our remote access to 2 servers because of a miss-identification of the remote access software (after years of use) as a hoax virus. Another trip to the co-location facility to fix it. AVG will now be phased out asap from our servers and replaced with another AV. I know that might be unfair consdireing the huge number of apps out there but two mishaps that resulted in a DOS in less than 2 months is not good.

What a case of bad luck. What AV are you moving to?
Very fitting: http://xkcd.com/386/
