Hi Bill.

Do your child tables belong to the CDE?
Did you inform the CDE class on the form's cDataEnvironment property?
If so, whenever you make any changes to them, the StateManager will make the toolbar Save button enabled to save the changes. If you press it, it will save everything. If you navigate, close the form, etc., it will ask you whether you would like to Save or not.
