>>>Until about two year ago I spent 95% of my time doing VFP. Although I never became a real top notch expert, as some of you are, I was good. But since then I've done very little VFP, but a lot of other things like act as a SQL-Server DBA, C# developer, asp developer, Business Object Administrator and more recently PL/SQL programmer. So I've become "Jack-Of-All-Trades-Master-Of-None". Of all these I like Business Object the least and wouldn't want to do it full time.

>>>I would prefer to become more proficient at one of the others. But as soon as I start getting confortable doing one thing I get moved to another. Next week I will start looking into doing some Business Intelligent Report Writing and Universe Design.

It is never bad to have many skills to offer. It is bad to offer too many skills. When persenting one self, offer them what they need that you have, not all what you have. Once you have the position, then, and only then, show them the extra skills. I, too, am a man of many hats.

Always remember: if you do a little more ever day, soon they will expect a little more every day.

After several years of being a SDET I am truly glad to be back in the development role.
