We have been experiencing two problems/hassles with VFP/VSS that relate to Project file handling.

1) As a Project grows in size, the Project file takes longer and longer to load. It seems like each file is checked against VSS to determine it's current status. If we have a Project of over 100 files, it can take over a minute to MODI PROJ. Is this consistent with other developers?

2) It seems to be a constant hassle having multiple developers share a Project file. Each time you "Update Project Info", you often will get the VSS Merge Conflict dialog and need to labor through two listings of Project files that aren't ordered consistently and are a constant area for mistakes (ie. someone removes a file added by someone else when trying to add their own). We seem to get a lot of code page changes between different PC's of SCX files that highlight a number of unnecessary updates (we've checked the config of each PC with no luck).

I haven't been able to find any documentation addressing this issues so I'd appreciate any input you might have!
