Thanks for responding Rick. I have relied heavily upon your example since the documentation I have for this older version is very cryptic. In fact, it is actually for 2.05. I suspect 2.06 may have been a 'bug fix' since it was a free upgrade during the 6-month support period. I haven’t used the product until now—the original project was cancelled. There are Tech Notes on the Amyuni web site that contain the step-by-step info you describe but some of it conflicts with what is in the 2.05 documentation.

I have isolated 4 files that seem to be required: acfpdf.dll, acfpdf.txt, actpdfui.dll and cdintf.dll. One of the discrepancies is where to copy cdintf.dll. I’m guessing it needs to go in the system directory (and be registered, of course) while the other files can be in the program files subdirectory with the application.

I was trying to have the app install and uninstall the driver but that’s what I can’t get to work. It may just be easier to just install the driver on the server. That does seem to work—at least here—and apparently bypasses the need for administrative rights for the user to create the printer on the fly.
