Discussing Paris Hilton and other celebrities takes up much of the medias attention. Who wants to know what is going on in the world when we can enjoy hearing about celebrities DUI experiences?
I've said the same thing six or seven years ago. Even this story is not news :).
Actually, there are no news on TV. There's just some attention-grabbing imagery to keep the {insert expletive} glued to the screen between ads.
