We had two newspapers in San Francisco that had political bias. The Chronicle was Democratic and the Examiner was Republican. No question! Today who knows one from the other? The last 20 years have seen great changes in our media.
The Chronicle had a section called “The Sporting Green”. It was all about sports and the paper used was light green. Recently, they changed the paper to white like the rest of the newspaper as well as reduced the physical size of the pages, but they continue to call it “The Sporting Green”. :)
