Not necessarily your resume, but something that shows you know what you're doing. Examples of your past work, references, etc. No one wants to be the first client. <s>

In my opinion, that's if they are a large company or a software shop. Small companies or individuals (getting a utility for personal use, for example) would not be that interested; they just want it to work and be supported.

Absolutely! You will just have to invest a fair amount of time learning and then getting practical experience so the next potential client/employer has something to see of what you've accomplished. Hmmmm... I guess we are back to the resume. <g>
