I needed to know it wasn't an issue at all. If you are doing that without a problem then it's probably something my subclass is doing.

I wanted to be sure it was something here rather than an inherited problem.

The problem is re-created on everyone's machine including our beta testers. I think someone made an observation, pointed it out and it's happening 100% if you follow that sequence.

I have found a short term work-around by customising the OnPreviewClose() to just call a standard print which works fine.
