>Mono runs on Linux, Mac and Windows better than taking .Net code and running on a Mono supported platform. This makes sense right?
>Not much :). What's a "Mono supported platform" exactly?
What I mean is code developed using Mono (and not .Net) runs on the three major platforms better than the reverse. Trying to convert .Net code to Mono code and then running the code on the three major platforms is not as good as using Mono to develop the code.
Mono is still far behind .Net - but is catching up. If you really want cross platform - look at python. If you are looking leverage your VFP training take a look a Dabo.
